Mir ist ihr Name neulich mal auf Arirang (koreanischer TV-Sender) begegnet, aber ich kann nicht sagen, daß ich sie wirklich gut kenne.
Anscheinend gibt es sie seit 2006, und im Asianload-Forum habe ich ein schon etwas älteres Review vom Juli 2007 zu ihrem 2. Album "Travel" gefunden:

"Trio Typhoon drew inevitable comparisons to Koyote when they debuted last year. In addition to featuring the trifecta of male vocalist, female vocalist, and male rapper, their dance music and vocal styles were also considered very similar to Koyote. The comparisons have brought the group their share of both supporters and detractors but, one thing's for sure, Typhoon is not going to be pigeonholed so easily, as they have proven to be adept in a variety of musical genres. Member Solbi just recently released her own debut solo single, and now she returns to the group for the trio's second album, Travel. Determined to move out of the Koyote shadow and forge their own name in the K-pop scene, Typhoon has expanded their musical range with this 13-track album, performing a variety of dance songs and ballads"
